So we got up and went to the scuba class. I really didn’t want to be there and was exhausted from the night before. It was quite boring... it was the first of two classroom sessions which meant watching videos and taking notes for 3 different chapters of scuba instruction and safety. Then we had quizzes on each chapter. The whole thing took like 4.5 hours.
After that was over, Courtney and I got our stuff together and took the 30 minute walk to the bus station to head to Byron. The scuba class was supposed to take longer, so the rest of our group was planning on meeting us in Byron at the later stop. But we just walked around the town, got some icecream, looked in the shops and then went back to the bus station.
Then we all headed to our place of lodging for the night. We snuck 4 people into a 2 person cabin. The "cabin" was a bed and a bathroom. So three of us slept on the bed and one on the floor. Then the other 4 in our group stayed in the "cabin" next to us.
After getting settled down we went to dinner. I asked a local store owner If he could recommend a good restaurant that wasn’t too expensive. He sent us to one where the cheapest entree was 20 bucks. That’s not exactly in our budgets, but we did have a nice view from the balcony.
We spent the rest of the night out on the town. It was pretty fun. We went to a hotel, then just hung out on the beach. We took a lot of pictures.
I didn't sleep very well that night. There was AC and we weren’t used to that so I woke up having cold convulsions or something. haha.
