Certified Open Water Diver!

2/23

We caught the bus at 9:30am for Byron to finish up our SCUBA certification. It was Julie (our GA), Tristan (Berkley boy), and Kelsey (Jones’s sophomore in HS daughter) so a different group than I had been with previously because I opted to sing at church last week. I liked these two dives much better than the first two. Its still a really long day, but the visibility was much better and the current was not as strong.

We saw a ton of marine life: a huge Loggerhead turtle (they are endangered and this one was about 5 or 6 ft), 3 regular sea turtles swimming around us as soon as we got down the line, eels, puffer fish, tons of Wobbegong sharks, and a 6 ft leopard shark. We saw a lot more than that, and the skills weren’t that difficult. So now I’m a certified PADI Open Water Diver. Yay rah.

I bought myself a pink “rashie” in Byron (thin long-sleeved surfing shirt), got a smoothie for lunch and got some groceries at Woolworths.

I came back and showered, and then went down to the cabins to cook some spaghetti. (since Tracy and Angie were gone) It was pretty cheap sauce but I added some stuff and made it a touch better I think. See family... I can cook. We watched "Finding Nemo" and “Shawshank Redemption” and I slept with Ash again.

PS- We caught.. and I disposed of two mice this night... the boys and Ashley couldnt do it
