My Diet

2/1/07

So I didn’t have class today but of coarse was woken up by everyone. It was a pretty lazy day as it was spent reading the Bryson book, on the internet, or doing laundry. I was thinking I cant wait to do laundry at home (weird, right?) but there I don’t have to hang every single item on the line to dry and they smell and feel the way I like them to afterwards.

For some reason I got really hungry and at kind of a lot yesterday- although that’s still typically less than at home. That is for a variety of reasons.

1. You have to walk 20-25 minutes to the store. This doesn’t bother be because I’m a lazy bum, but rather because it is hard to carry a bunch of plastic bags with heavy items in them.
2. Being hot and out in the sun all day decreases my appetite usually.
3. I’m cheap. And I have to buy whatever I want/need on my own. Haha.
4. Food goes bad very quickly here. Our fridges aren’t very cold and most items you buy are not re-sealable such as cheese, lunchmeat, etc.
So basically…for

Breakfast I eat: egg & cheese sandwich, Muesseli (oats and stuff)&yogurt, or nasty apricot cereal that I bought
For Lunch: oats & yogurt, pb&j, salad or a turkey sandwich
Dinner: pasta, pb&j, salad, or something random prepared by my roommates.

Went went to town and I ended up just sitting in the park washing the waves crash in... it was pretty relaxing. We had an interesting walk home that evening. Got my arm muscles worked out a bit. Tomorrow we have scuba class and then off to Byron Bay!!
This is my friend Tracy... and the chicken pasta we shared for dinner one night at a restaurant
